is a native San Diegan whose work consists of sculpture, photography, and site-specific installation. His current work has been exploring his interest in workspaces. He views these spaces as a place where the evidence of manufacturing processes, the beauty of raw materials, and the tension between organization and chaos blend together with dreams, fragments of information, memory, and competing timelines to create an experience that is complex and stimulating.
Recent solo exhibitions include Remodel at Seminal Projects (2008), Peculiar Velocity at Biola University in Los Angeles (2009), Bird at the Contemporary Museum of Art San Diego (2010), Greeting From Earth, Luis De Jesus Los Angeles (2010), and Query at the Rose Art Gallery at Francis Parker School (2013). Corbin received the Cerca Award from the Contemporary Museum of Art San Diego in 2010, which recognizes an artist whose work addresses issues of Southern California, Baja California, and beyond, and his work is included in the museum's permanent collection. In addition, his work has been exhibited in the San Diego area at Art Produce Gallery, Simayspace, UCSD, and the Oceanside Museum of Art, as well as in Los Angeles and Miami.
Corbin has been teaching at ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç since 2005. His wife, Christina, also an artist, teaches ceramics at ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç.
