Theology, Justice, and Peace, B.A.

Program Overview

Pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Justice, and Peace will allow you to explore the relationship between Christian faith commitments and the pursuit of equity and harmony in local and global communities. Your major will be fully interdisciplinary as you study with faculty experts in theology, biblical studies, sociology, and history and political science.

Strengthen your relationship with Christ while integrating your passion for bringing goodness and equity to the world. The Theology, Justice, and Peace B.A. allows you to grow deeper in your understanding of God as you find meaningful ways to advocate for righting society’s wrongs. You’ll learn to apply social scientific analysis, community-oriented strategies, and ethical reasoning informed from a biblical perspective.

As you reflect on real-world issues such as conflict, poverty, racism, and inequity, you’ll study scriptural and Christ-centered convictions regarding these realities. You’ll also explore practical ways to promote sustainability, reconciliation, inclusion, and redemptive social change in your local community and beyond.

Prepare yourself for future callings such as:

  • Ministry in local churches and global settings
  • Community development and organization
  • Chaplaincy
  • Social work
  • Nonprofit leadership
  • Public service

With a B.A. in Theology, Justice, and Peace, you can develop empathy, a deep knowledge of theology, and Scripture. You’ll be equipped to become the leader and advocate for justice that brings hope that our societies need now more than ever.
