He lives in your chest,

The coward

You keep caged.

A silent monster who lays hidden,

unconsciously listing all the things you wish you had said, done, been and seen. He fills with rage. As he holds on tight he grows from within. The weight wears you down, no longer strong enough. Unable to continiue to carry this prisoner. On the verge of collapse. Your unable to breath, not wanting to believe. The need to be free.

You accept,

and embrace

You burst

It roars, It sounds like a cry.

You cry and for the first time you realise it’s

A breath no longer heavy.
