Judie Heineman, Ed.D.

Adjunct Professor of Computer Information Technology

For almost 28 years, Judie Heineman served in the United States Navy and recently retired as a U.S. Navy Captain.  An accomplished leader with a focus in information technology, she delivered critical communications capability ashore and afloat both in the United States and overseas. She has been the Chief Information Officer for a Carrier Strike Group in San Diego, California; the Director of Information Technology the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island; and the Commanding Officer at the U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station in San Diego, California.  A lifelong learner, Judie has a Doctorate in Education (Educational Leadership), a Master鈥檚 of Science Degree in Information Technology Management, and a Master鈥檚 of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies.  She is also a certified Department of Defense Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. 

As a community volunteer, Judie has taught computer skills to Senior Citizens at nonprofit facilities in San Diego. She is also a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200) and a hospice volunteer. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at 国产剧麻豆剧 in the Mathematics, Information, and Computer Sciences Department and in the College of Extended Studies. She is an affiliate faculty member at San Diego State University in the College of Education.
